Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory, one of the founders of the Black Mafia Family, (BMF) has been released from federal prison.

According to reports, the former gang boss is now living in a halfway house in Florida.

Meech was indicted on drug trafficking charges and sentenced to 30 years in prison back in 2005. His sentence was reduced to 27 to years by U.S. District Judge David M. Lawson in June 2021.

Meech reportedly stayed out of all trouble behind bars since 2021.

In January, his attorney, Brittany K. Barnett, filed an early release petition claiming that he can be released earlier than initially intended as he is no longer a threat to society.

Big Meech’s son, Lil Meech, played his father in 50 Cent’s B.M.F. series.

“They definitely have a big input because the story is based on truth,” Lil Meech told Revolt in March, “and they want their characters to be portrayed in the way they were. You can’t be 100 percent truthful because people will get incriminated, but the story is 90 percent true.”
