Zayden Banks, the 11-year-old son of Chicago rapper Lil Durk, has broken his silence after his father was arrested over an alleged murder-for-hire plot.
Durk reportedly attempted to flee the country earlier this month after five members of OTF, Kavon London Grant, Deandre Dontrell Wilson, Keith Jones, David Brian Lindsey and Asa Houston, were arrested in connection with the attempted murder of Quando Rondo and the killing of Rondo’s cousin, Lul Pab.
Prosecutors allege Durk hired them to carry out the shooting and that the men used an OTF-associated credit card to cover the flights and hotel room for the men and used the card to pay for the rental car used in the shooting.
“I want to take a moment to stand up for my dad, Durk Banks. He has always dedicated his life to uplifting others and giving back to our community through his nonprofit organization, Neighborhood Heroes. Beyond that, he is a great father who has always supported and loved our family unconditionally,” Zayden captioned a post on Instagram.
Zayden asked that people treat his father as innocent until he is proven guilty and thanked the mayor of Chicago for his support.
