More details surrounding the arrest of Lil Durk have surfaced online, and according to the feds, the rapper was trying to flee the country on the day of his arrest.
In federal documents, FBI Special Agent Sarah Corcoran wrote in her federal criminal complaint against the Chicago rapper that “the FBI received notifications from U.S. Customs and Border Protection showing that [Durk] had been booked as a passenger on two international flights: (i) a one-way flight from Miami to Dubai, United Arab Emirates, connecting through Doha, Qatar, scheduled to depart the evening of October 24; and (ii) a one-way flight from Fort Lauderdale to Switzerland, connecting via New Jersey, also scheduled to depart the evening of October 24.”
Italy has an extradition treaty with the U.S., meaning that the rapper could have been extradited from the European country back to the States, but Dubai does not.
Durk reportedly booked the flights after five members of OTF were arrested in connection with the attempted m-rder of Quando Rondo and the k-lling of Rondo’s cousin, Lul Pab.
The men arrested and charged were Kavon London Grant, Deandre Dontrell Wilson, Keith Jones, David Brian Lindsey and Asa Houston.
