Lil Durk was arrested in Florida on Thursday night in connection with an alleged m*rder-for-hire plot…and the target was allegedly Georgia rapper Quando Rondo.

Lil Durk, real name Durk Banks, was picked up by U.S. Marshals and booked into the Broward County Jail, where he is awaiting charges.

Prior to his arrest, five members of Durk’s crew, Only the Family (OTF), were indicted on federal charges in Los Angeles in a plot to k*ll rapper Quando Rondo. The names of the OTF members are Kavon London Grant, Deandre Dontrell Wilson, Keith Jones, David Brian Lindsey, and Asa Houston-who were hit with charges in connection with the West Hollywood k*lling of “Lul Pab” who was Quando Rondo’s cousin, back in 2022.

The plan to unalive Rondo was reportedly in retaliation for the slaying of King Von.

The indictment alleges that the men used an OTF-linked credit card to buy plane tickets to Los Angeles to hunt for the rapper. Grant was the one who copped the hotel room they stayed in, and he also gave the other men weapons to carry out the slaying, as well as renting two vehicles to follow the rapper and Lul Pab.

The pair stopped for gas, and that’s when the men opened fire. They missed Quando Rondo but struck his cousin, k*lling him on the spot.

Quando Rondo’s friend and shooter, Lul Tim, was charged with taking the life of rival rapper King Von, who was a close friend and collaborator of Chicago rapper Von, in an Atlanta strip club parking lot in 2020 while defending Rondo. Lul Tim’s charges were later dropped.

The charges against OTF include conspiracy to commit m*rder-for-hire, committing m*rder-for-hire involving a death, and use of a machine gun in a violent crime resulting in death.

If convicted, the most serious charge could result in the death penalty.

Durk’s arrest comes right after he was sued by the mother of slain rapper FBG Duck. Mama Duck claims Durk and his record label profited off the 2020 shooting death of Duck.
