On a new episode of Uninterrupted’s The Shop, LeBron James said his least favorite place to play was in Boston “because they’re racist as f-ck, that’s why.”

“They will say anything. And it’s fine,” he said, referring to Celtics fans. “I mean, f-ck, it’s my life. I’ve been dealing with it my whole life. I don’t mind […] Like, if I hear somebody close by, I’ll check ’em real quick [and] I’ll move on to the game. They gonna say whatever the f-ck they wanna say. They might throw something on you,” he said.

He continued, “There was like a ‘f-ck LBJ’ T-shirt,” James said. “I believe they probably sold it at the f-ckin’ team shop. … They sold it at the team shop. I’m like, ‘the Celtics had something to do with that sh-t.'”

Former Celtic Kendrick Perkins responded to James’ claims on ESPN’s “First Take.”

“I spent eight-and-a-half years there, maybe because I was on the Celtics I didn’t experience racism… I will say this, the fans in Boston do cross the line and hit below the belt when it comes down to being disrespectful… The fans are too damn disrespectful when it comes to opposing teams coming to Boston,” he said.
