Leah McSweeney’s Lawsuit Against Andy Cohen and Bravo to be Heard in Court This Month

Lyndon Abioye |

Former New York Housewife Leah McSweeney will finally face off against Andy Cohen and Bravo in court this month.

In February, Leah filed a lawsuit naming and several other producers of the show.

In her complaint, Leah details relapsing on Season 12 of “Real Housewives of New York City” to missing her grandmother’s death during a Hamptons trip the following year.

After quitting the series over the phone, Leah then agreed to do a week of “RHUGT” filming for $250,000, during which many of her fellow cast members encouraged her to drink. She says she felt she was unable to leave the trip. She claims she felt afraid to leave for her grandmother’s funeral.

She also made some shocking allegations about Cohen.

“[Cohen] engaged in cocaine use with ‘Housewives’ and other Bravolebrities that he employs” and rewards “‘Housewives’ with whom he uses cocaine with more favorable treatment and edits,” the lawsuit reads.

Cohen denies the allegations.

Judge Lewis J. Liman will hear oral arguments on October 30.
