Leah McSweeney’s attorney says the former Real Housewives of New York star’s lawsuit is the first of many.
“There are more lawsuits coming and there are more people who are going to speak out,” Gary Adelman told Us Weekly. “It doesn’t matter what people say or think — that Andy’s a good guy, or that you should expect to drink, or that you should expect this behavior.”
Leah filed a discrimination complaint with the EEOC against Bravo after filming a season of Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip last year.
In her complaint, Leah details relapsing on Season 12 of “Real Housewives of New York City” to missing her grandmother’s death during a Hamptons trip the following year.
After quitting the series over the phone, Leah then agreed to do a week of “RHUGT” filming for $250,000, during which many of her fellow cast members encouraged her to drink. She says she felt she was unable to leave the trip. She claims she felt afraid to leave for her grandmother’s funeral.
Andy then threatened her with a lawsuit after she alleged he did cocaine with several other Housewives.
Andy’s attorney sent Leah a letter, which was obtained by TMZ, warning her to retract her allegations otherwise they will be filing a lawsuit of their own.
“[W]e demand that you immediately retract and withdraw all allegations relating to Mr. Cohen’s purported ‘cocaine use,'” the letter read.
