LaVar Ball says he and his wife, Tina Ball, have separated after nearly 30 years together.
The outspoken basketball dad and businessman shared the personal update during an interview with YouTube creator N3on. LaVar said Tina was no longer by his side because she had chosen a different path.
“Even with my wife. Tina decided to go her own way. That’s why you don’t see her right here,” LaVar revealed. “She wanted to go do something else, that’s fine with me. We had our run. We had our run.”
LaVar and Tina married in 1997 and raised three sons together, Lonzo, LiAngelo, and LaMelo Ball. Their family became a fixture in the culture as LaVar loudly promoted his sons’ basketball careers and built the Big Baller Brand around them.

Lonzo and LaMelo went on to become NBA lottery picks, while LiAngelo has also pursued basketball and music. The family also starred in the reality series Ball in the Family, which gave viewers a closer look at their home life, business moves, and Tina’s recovery after she suffered a stroke in 2017.
During the interview, LaVar said he has moved on romantically but did not identify the woman in his life.
“No need to worry,” he told N3on when asked about her identity.
Last year, LaVar had his foot and part of his leg amputated and now walks with a prosthetic right leg following health complications.
