Kyle Richards’ Estranged Hubby Gets DRAGGED For Trying To Dodge Loan Lawsuit Drama

Tiffany Brockworth |

Kyle Richards’ estranged husband, Mauricio Umansky, has a net worth of $100 million, but that has not stopped the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star from trying to avoid taking responsibility for a PPP loan he took out during the pandemic.

Mau’s real estate company, The Agency, was accused of reportedly taking out millions of unwarranted loans during the global pandemic.

The Agency received two Payroll Protection Program (PPP) and CARES Act loans totaling $3,521,153.00. The loans were reported to cover payroll for 2.5 months, but Mau’s accuser is alleging he did not use the funds as he was supposed to.

“Given that Holdco’s subsidiaries Umro and The Agency had booming business of $6 billion of sales in 2020 and $6.5 billion in sales in 2021, Defendants’ threshold for economic necessity is a high bar that they cannot overcome on a motion to dismiss,” the lawsuit from real estate company, Relator LLC, states.

Mau denied the claims, accusing Relator LLC of making up the allegations calling them a “third party corporation formed by lawyers for a single purpose — to ‘whistle blow.'”

Mau denied the allegations.

“While we are unable to comment on ongoing litigation, we want to emphasize that The Agency has always operated with the highest level of integrity in all aspects of our business. Like many companies, we faced significant challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic, including layoffs and cutbacks,” the statement read. “Our focus has always been, and especially during that challenging period, on delivering exceptional service to our customers and supporting our employees. The claims in this case do not reflect the reality of our operations and financial situation at the time we filed for our PPP loans, and we intend to vigorously defend against these meritless claims.”
