Kodak Black will be spending Christmas in jail after his attorney’s attempt to get him out of jail and into rehab was denied by a judge.
Federal prosecutors say Yak violated his three-year probation after former President Donald Trump commuted his sentence in 2021 over a Miami-Dade County conviction, after he was found to be in possession of illicit drugs.
On Tuesday, Kodak and his lawyers appeared in a South Florida court to request that their client receive a 90-day drug rehab program in Arizona.
But HHDX reports that the latest docket and orders, which were obtained reveal that the next hearing in Kodak Black’s case will be held on January 9, 2024.
On Instagram Live, Yak says he was high off lean…not cocaine.
“I was on the lean, homie,” he said on Instagram Live. “I was asleep in front of my family house, bro. That’s it. That ain’t illegal. I’ll tell God himself I do Percs and sh-t like that, but them was my medicine prescribed to me. Even before I got shot and I had got prescribed to them again, I could say that I had started damn abusing [them].”
