Kodak Black Wants $100 Million Before Signing With Young Thug

Kodak Black says it would take $100 million and a collaborative album with Mariah The Scientist to get him to sign with Young Thug’s YSL Records.

The rapper laid out his terms during a livestream on Thursday after a fan mentioned Young Thug’s recent offer to bring him onto the label.

“Yeah, Thug talking about whatever I think I want if I do a deal. Oh yeah?” Kodak said. “Well s–t. I need a collab album with Mariah The Scientist, I need a hundred millions…”

Young Thugger first made his pitch in late June after Kodak revealed that he was no longer signed to Capitol Records.

“If he would do a deal with me, I would give that boy whateva he think he want #NoCizzy,” Thug wrote on X.

He also shared previously that he’d like to collaborate with Mariah the Scientist.

Kodak joined Capitol in 2022 after spending eight years with Atlantic Records. He completed his six-album commitment to Atlantic with the release of Pistolz & Pearlz in 2023.

Later that year, he released When I Was Dead as his Capitol debut. Several more projects followed before Kodak and the label went their separate ways after Kodak the Blessing arrived in early June.

Young Thug has not publicly responded to Kodak’s $100 million request, and Mariah has not said whether she would be interested in making the proposed joint album.
