Kodak Black was one of Donald Trump’s biggest supporters, especially after Trump pardoned the troubled rapper. But now Kodak seems to be distancing himself from the Republican nominee.

Yesterday Kodak went on Live to criticize Trump for making false claims that Haitians have been eating cats. Kodak claimed that those comments were racist, and that he doesn’t stand with anyone who is making them.

The rapper didn’t specifically mention Trumo, by name. But I context, it was clear who he was talking about.

Kodak is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter. He gained initial recognition following the release of his 2014 songs “No Flockin” and “Skrt”, both of which led him to sign a recording contract with Atlantic Records. The former received double platinum certification by the Recording Industry of America (RIAA), while the latter received platinum certification; “No Flockin” marked his first entry on the Billboard Hot 100 two years later as a sleeper hit.

In 2000, Kodak Black pleaded guilty to a firearms possession case he was charged with after being detained at the Canadian-American border with a Glock. With the sentencing set for March 24, the court considered between 2 and 7 years in prison, which would run concurrently with his 46-month sentencing for lying on federal paperwork.

But a year later, President Donald Trump commuted Kodak Black’s sentence for his 2020 conviction. Kodak took a plea deal in an unrelated s**ual assault case and pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of first-degree assault and battery, and was sentenced to 18 months of probation.

After having his sentence commuted, he became an ardent Donald Trump supporter.
