Kodak Black surrendered to the police at the Broward County Jail before being released on a $250,000 bond.

According to his lawyer, Bradford Cohen, the quick turnaround was a good thing.

Yak, whose real name is Bill Kapri, was initially arrested in July on charges of trafficking oxycodone and possession of a controlled substance without a prescription. As part of his pretrial release, he must regularly check in with authorities for mandatory urine tests. After missing a test, an arrest warrant was issued for violating the conditions of his pretrial release.

Before leaving the jail, Yak was forced to pay up the $175,000 difference between his new bond and the original bond.

Back in 2021, Donald Trump commuted a three-year federal prison sentence the rapper had for forging documents used to purchase firearms. He had served almost half his sentence at the time of his release.
