Kim Zolciak’s son Kroy Biermann Jr. is back under his mother’s roof after being released from jail while facing felony charges in an alleged sexual battery case.
Sources familiar with the situation told TMZ that KJ was released within the past several days and is now living with Kim, who is caring for him full time.
His release comes as prosecutors continue pressing ahead with the case. They recently filed emergency court documents asking a judge to authorize forensic interviews with “minor children,” according to the breaking news outlet. The filing did not provide further details about the children or their connection to the investigation.
Such interviews are typically conducted by professionals trained to speak with minors, and information gathered during the process can potentially become part of a criminal case.
KJ is accused of sexually assaulting a schoolmate at a local gym when he was 15. He is facing multiple felony charges tied to the alleged incident.

His bond was recently set at $200,000.
Prosecutors also made additional allegations during a separate recent hearing, claiming KJ had already been on probation in another case. They alleged investigators discovered videos on his phone showing sexual activity involving an underage relative.
The legal situation has also taken a toll on Kim, according to someone who knows her publicly.
Her former Real Housewives of Atlanta costar NeNe Leakes recently said Kim is “not okay” as the family deals with her son’s case.
KJ has not been convicted of the charges in the current case.
