T.I.‘s son, King Harris, responded to backlash against his father after a clip from his expediTIously podcast showed him confessing to putting a gun case on a relative who had passed away.
King says snitching only counts if somebody gets in trouble for it.
“Y’all could tell me I’m wrong or whatever. Y’all throwing out the wrong words,” King said on Instagram Live. “Look, listen. A snitch, a rat, a mouse is you putting somebody… If you put somebody else in trouble and you get out. Somebody has to do time and sh-t like that for you [to be a snitch].”
Both T.I. and his relative Toot both faced trial for the gun charge, but after his cousin was murdered during the case, T.I. blamed it on Toot at the direction of his attorney.
“We caught those gun cases, Toot died. My lawyer said, ‘Well, you know, I could make everything go away if it was Toot’s, it was Tremel’s,’” he said. “After he had passed, I had a talk with him. Toot said, ‘I’ll take all the charges you got! If you can walk away free and put it on me, goddamn right! ‘Cause I’ll be damned if they gon’ come and muthaf-cking extradite me from here.’”
