There’s a new housewife set to join the cast of Bravo’s Real Housewives of Beverly Hills – Kimora Lee Simmons. Media take Out has learned that the show’s producers and Kimora’s reps are “actively negotiating: to bring her on for next season.
We spoke with a person close to Bravo who told us that Kimora is “ready to join” and that the two camps are working out her compensation and other contract issues. But from what we’re being told – the deal is as good as DONE.
And the top rated Bravo show needs a refresh BADLY. As Media Take Out has been reporting as many as FOUR of the current cast members may leave the show. And producers want to add new “celebrity” blood, to make sure that the show’s ratings continue.
The current cast members are Kyle Richards, Lisa Rinna, Erika Girardi, Dorit Kemsley, Garcelle Beauvais, Sutton Stracke and Crystal Kung Minkoff, and Diana Jenkins. Sheree Zampino is a “friend” on Season 12 as well.
According to reports Lisa Rinna and Kyle Richards may not return next season – and there are rumors that Erika and newcomer Diana Jenkins may be getting fired.
The insider explained, “Kimora brings celebrity, class, wealth and drama – she’s a perfect addition.”
Kimora gave a hint that she planned to join the Bravo show two weeks ago, during an interview where she told fans, “The [Real Hosuewives] call me every season … I said I’ll take a meeting and I’ll see, because I do love all those women.”
