Kim Kardashian wants Gunna to be freed from jail. The reality star posted a tweet of supper from her account.
Gunna, Young Thug and 26 more members of the YSL crew have been hit with RICO charges.
According to Billboard, the rapper’s team has filed a petition to free him, arguing that Fulton County prosecutors have almost no evidence to suggest he’s committed any of the crimes he’s accused of.
“To allow Mr. Kitchens to be held in jail by the unsworn claims and conclusions of the state, devoid of any specific facts or supporting evidence – over objection by the defense – is to render his presumption of innocence meaningless and to discard his right to due process,” Gunna’s attorneys wrote in the documents.
Prosecutors say that the rapper may be connected to two killings.
Don Geary, a prosecutor for the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office, alleges Gunna is a member of another criminal street gang and is being investigated for his alleged involvement in two homicide cases, reports WSB-TV report.
“He is a member of the Shady Park Crips out of South Fulton,” Geary said in court. “He is under an investigation at this point in time by more than one law enforcement agency concerning at least two homicides committed by that gang during this time.”
Gunna says he is innocent.
