Kevin Spacey To ‘Voluntarily’ Appear In Court To Face 4 Sexual Assault Charges

Media Take Out Staff |

Kevin Spacey will “voluntarily” appear in a UK court on four counts of sexual assault involving three men in the UK.

One of the charges includes “one charge of causing a person to engage in penetrative sexual activity without consent,” per the Crown Prosecution Service.

The alleged incidents are from March 2005, August 2008 and April 2013.

“I very much appreciate the CPS’s statement in which they carefully reminded the media and the public that I am entitled to a fair trial, and innocent until proven otherwise,” Spacey said in a statement. “While I am disappointed with their decision to move forward, I will voluntarily appear in the UK as soon as can be arranged and defend myself against these charges, which I am confident will prove my innocence.”

Spacey was accused by Anthony Rapp of sexual misconduct. Rapp said in 2017 that Spacey had made unwanted sexual advances toward him in the 1980s, when he was just 14 years old.
