Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant has requested a trade from the team…leaving many basketball fans shocked.

ESPN Insider Adrian Wojnarowski reports that Nets general manager Sean Marks is working on finding a trade partner. Kyrie Irving has opted into his player option for the next season.

“Phoenix and Miami are among two of the teams that Kevin Durant has on his wish list, sources tell ESPN, but the Nets plan to move Durant where they can get the best possible deal,” Wojnarowski tweeted. “With four years on his contract, there’s no shortage of teams willing to unload assets for Durant.”

Durant averaged 29.9 points, 7.4 rebounds and 6.4 assists this season. He only played 55 games during the regular season because he had to recover from an MCL injury.

The teams Durant may be most likely to join are: Portland Trail Blazers, Phoenix Suns, Memphis Grizzlies…with Miami Heat as the first option.
