Hollywood star Kevin Costner have issued a statement following the news that his wife has filed for divorce. He and his wife for together for more than 18 years.
“It is with great sadness that circumstances beyond his control have transpired which have resulted in Mr. Costner having to participate in a dissolution of marriage action,” his attorney said in a statement. “We ask that his, Christine’s, and their children’s privacy be respected as they navigate this difficult time.”
According to sources, Costner does not want his marriage to wife, Christine to be over. “He obviously doesn’t want the divorce, and he would take her back,” a source told Page Six.
Costner is asking for joint custody and cited irreconcilable differences, like Christine. There is reportedly a prenuptial agreement in place.
Costner and Christine Baumgartner married on Sept. 25, 2004 and share three kids: Cayden, 16 on Saturday, Hayes, 14, and Grace, 12.
