Kenya Moore appeared to back Shamea Morton’s claim that longtime friend Porsha Williams did not want her joining The Real Housewives of Atlanta.
In a resurfaced video shared on X, Kenya recalled hearing that Morton had previously been approached about becoming a full-time Housewife. She also claimed Porsha seemed uncomfortable with the possibility of her appearing on the show.
“I never felt that Porsha was supportive of [Shamea] being on Housewives,” said Kenya. “They had asked Shamea to be on Housewives as a Housewife years ago.”
Kenya could not remember why Shamea had not accepted the earlier opportunity, but she recalled a recorded conversation in which Porsha allegedly questioned her friend’s motives.
“I remember Porsha saying something to the effect of, ‘Why are you doing this? Why are you over here? … Do you need the money that bad?’” Kenya said. “And I think Shamea was shocked.”
According to the former beauty queen, the exchange left her questioning whether the women shared a genuine friendship or “a relationship of convenience.”
“What I see is jealousy,” she continued. “What I see is somebody putting their foot on somebody’s neck and saying, ‘You stay down there. I want to be the queen of this.’”
Shamea made a similar claim during the current RHOA season, suggesting Porsha did not fully support her casting despite being friends for decades.
