Series alum Kelly Dodd didn’t hold back in a recent Instagram video reacting to the Real Housewives of Orange County season premiere, calling it “so obnoxious” and blasting several cast members.
“I just watched the Orange County Housewives,” she said. “I was going to recap the season, but it’s so obnoxious.”
Kelly took particular issue with Emily Simpson, criticizing her for sharing her son’s disordered eating on camera. “It’s just so obnoxious, and so I can’t watch it,” she said.
In the episode, Emily also claimed she hired a lawyer after her former nanny, Katie Ginella’s daughter, alleged that Emily’s kids made negative comments about Heather Dubrow. Kelly backed Katie, saying, “I don’t think [Katie is] lying… I think that is true … I [also] find Emily to be very obnoxious this year.”
“You know, kids don’t like Heather,” she added. “All my friends know Heather. No kids like going over to Heather’s house. That’s true.”

Kelly also slammed Emily’s legal reaction. “For Emily to say [that] she lawyered up … I think she needs to go back to law school,” she said. “You can’t sue for the truth.”
She criticized the cast for “ganging up” on Katie and dismissed Gina Kirschenheiter as “so boring,” calling her boyfriend “a dud” and their house “nothing to look at.”
The Real Housewives of Orange County airs on Thursdays at 9/8c on Bravo and streams the following day on Peacock.
