R&B singer Kelis is NOT dating 72 year old actor Bill Murray, Media Take Out confirmed. We spoke to a person extremely close to the Milkshake singer and he told us that the rumors were “silly.”
The friend explained to Media Take Out, “They are working on a project together, and are friends. That’s it. I have no idea where the rumors are coming from.”
Kelis officially responded to reports she is dating 76-year-old Ghostbusters actor Bill Murray.
The pair have been seen out and about together. A fan hopped into Kelis’ Instagram comments and accused her of “riding his wave,” and the Milkshake singer clapped back.
“Lol yeah maybe for now everyone’s dumb and will believe anything but the best part is we are both blessed, rich and happy. So who’s really laughing now that’s funny,” she wrote.
The news was first broken by The Sun, who reports that the pair have been “getting close for a while” after first meeting in the US. Murray is filming the new Ghostbusters movie in the UK. The new couple posed for photos together backstage at London’s Cross the Tracks festival.
Kelis’ husband, photographer Mike Mora died last March from stomach cancer. She was previously married to Queens rapper, Nas. Murray has been married to Margaret Kelly from 1981-1996, and later to costume designer Jennifer Butler from 1997-2008.
