Keke Palmer is speaking on her viral split from her ex-boyfriend, Darius Jackson.
The actress filed a temporary restraining order against Darius in November after an alleged domestic violence incident. At the time, KeKe shared screenshots from surveillance video appearing to show Darius physically abusing her during their relationship.
Darius allegedly broke into her home and choked her.
“It got so out of control,” Keke writes in her upcoming memoir, Master of Me: The Secret to Controlling Your Narrative, dropping November 19, per PEOPLE.
“The only way I knew how to bring order was through the court.” She added that having a child “was a big stressor” in addition to already being in the public eye.
“Not just with my romantic relationships, but with family and friends, it’s always become a burden,” Palmer added. “Too many voices get in. It can make everybody else not trust you. It’s hard to explain.”
Keke admits that Darius was not terrible the entire stime and says she does not want her son to grow up thinking his father is a monster.
