Singer Kehlani has filed a restraining order against Javaughn Young-White, the father of their five-year-old daughter Adeya after Young-White filed a petition requesting full custody.
A judge granted the order and now, Young-White cannot contact Kehlani and Adeya even via phone and email and must stay at least 100 yards Kehlani’s home, and Adeya’s school or childcare facility.
The judge found that there was a risk of Young-White abducting their child, and Kehlani claims that he has been abusive towards them, even during their pregnancy, and that in June, he became “enraged” and “smashed through [their] locked bedroom doors [in] a fit of anger.”
Kehlani claims he called them abusive words, including a “bitch” and “liar,” and that he smokes marijuana or day and neglects his personal hygiene.
“He is not emotionally well and appears to suffer from periods of despair and often tirades of uncontrollable anger and rage,” she wrote in the docs. “When he is agitated, he cannot stop moving and throws his arms in the air while yelling and screaming at me, often throwing items and calling me horrible names.”
Young-White must not go outside California or apply for passports and other travel-related documents and cannot possess or purchase firearms and ammunition.
A hearing on the order has been scheduled for September 1.
