Keefe D To Post $750K Bail Ahead As 2Pac Murder Trial Looms

Lyndon Abioye |

Keefe D, the man accused of killing late rapper 2Pac, says he can finally post his $750,000 bail ahead of his murder trial.

Keefe, who has confessed multiple times to being connected to Tupac’s 1996 murder, denies shooting Pac. He says he was in the vehicle where the shots were fired from and that he even handed the shooter the gun.

He’ll be expected to appear in court on Tuesday where Judge Carli Kierny will detail the conditions for his release.

He is being represented by special public defenders Robert Arroyo and Charles Cano and was charged with the Category A felony of “murder with the use of a deadly weapon with the intent to promote, further or assist a criminal gang.” If convicted, the state of Nevada will not seek the death penalty.

Prosecutors say it was Keefe D’s own media interview that got him in trouble.

“It wasn’t until 2018 that this case was reinvigorated, as additional information came to light related to this homicide, specifically Duane Davis’s own admissions to his involvement in this homicide investigation that he provided to numerous different media outlets,” Lieutenant Jason Johansson said at a press conference on September 29.
