Kanye West and his YEEZY company have been accused of racism and exposing minors to pornography in a new lawsuit.
In the lawsuit, former employees, and according to The Washington Post, some of whom are minors, accuse Ye and Yeezy of not paying them for long working hours while subjecting them to cruel and derogatory behavior and a hostile working environment.
Ye is accused of referring to them as “slaves” and “new slaves,” and say that the rapper even exposed them to pornographic images.
“No guardrails were put in place to prevent the underage YZYVSN workers from working on Yeezy P-rn, or to prevent them from being exposed to and being forced to view p-rnography to perform their work,” the lawsuit reads.
The lawsuit also mentions Ye’s former manager Milo Yiannopoulos, claiming he “actively participated in and perpetuated” the harassment and that he allegedly shared black- and brown-hued emojis to communicate with employees of color.
The employees are seeking payment for unpaid wages, attorney fees, and damages for emotional distress.
