A paparazzi photographer is suing Kanye West after he grabbed and threw her phone months back.
Nichol Lechmanik filed a lawsuit against Ye for assault, battery and negligence over the incident that took place in Los Angeles in January. Ye was outside of a sports academy in Ventura County where he was attending his daughter’s basketball game with ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, was also at the game. After seeing Ye “angrily confronting” another photographer, Lechmanik began filming and Ye confronted her and angrily threw her phone.
“He reached into my car as if he were going to hit me, he grabbed my phone out of my hand and then angrily threw it into the street,” Lechmanik said during a press conference. “He caused so much fear that I have not been the same since.”
After throwing the camera, she says the rapper gave her the “death stare.”
“He has no right to assault me, batter me or cause me to be afraid to pursue my profession,” Lechmanik said. “I want Ye to know that he cannot do what he did to me without facing consequences. I am determined to stand up for myself to let him know that he must change his abhorrent behavior.”
