After YesJulz leaked text messages to say she sent requests to Ice Spice and Doja Cat to appear on “New Body,” Ye hopped on Instagram to reveal that Ice Spice’s team is refusing to clear her verse.
“ICE SPICE SENT A VERSE IN FOR NEW BODY NOW HER TEAM IS SAYING WE CAN’T USE IT,” Ye wrote.
The track was originally supposed to feature a verse from Nicki Minaj, but Nicki, who is in a business partnership with Ye, refused to clear her verse when Ye finally decided he wanted to drop it.
Ye said he was confused as he has always supported Nicki’s career. Fans felt Nicki should have just agreed to clear her verse.
“Now regarding Kanye, that train has left the station,” Nicki said to her fans on Instagram Live. “No disrespect in any way, I just put out a brand new album. Why would I put out a song that’s been out for three years? Come on guys.”
