Kanye West went off on Adidas after they allegedly made up “Yeezy Day” without his approval.
The day is celebrated on August 2nd.
Ye sent a DM to the Complex Instagram account pictured below.
“Adidas made up the Yeezy Day idea without my approval,” Kanye wrote, “then went and brought back older styles without my approval picked colors and named them without my approval went and hired people that worked for me without my approval stole my colorways without my approval stole my styles and material approached without my approval and hired a GM of Yeezy without my approval.”
Kanye also alleged Adidas slowed down the production of the casual sneakers he and Balenciaga’s creative director Demna Gvasalia created for Gap even though he was not in breach of his contract with the sportswear company.
In June, Ye accused Adidas of copying his luxury shoes.
“Maybe I feel that Mamba spirit right now To Kasper I’m not standing for this blatant copying no more To all sneaker culture To every ball player rapper or even if you work at the store This is for everyone who wants to express themselves but feel they can’t cause they’ll loose their contract or be called crazy Bravery is not being afraid Bravery is overcoming your fear for your truth,” he wrote.
