Kandi Burruss has opened up about Shamea Morton’s Real Housewives of Atlanta fallout and revealed that she told her bestie that she “doesn’t need the show.”
Shamea had a hard time during season 16, falling out with several members of the cast, including her former best friend, Porsha Williams.
According to Kandi, she told Shamea that she has a great life outside of the show and should not feel obligated to return.

Kandi also gave her friend some advice if she chooses to remain on the show.
“But, I said if she chooses to go back, then definitely don’t hold back on her feelings. I don’t really think that she lied,” Kandi said, addressing allegations that Shamea lied several times on the show and during the reunion.
She also made it clear that she was not choosing sides between Shamea and Porsha but went on to say that there were issues in the friendship prior to filming the show and that Shamea should have addressed the issues before instead of trying to play things off like “everything was okay.”
Shamea has not shared whether she plans to return to the show, but did post a video apology to her fellow cast members, taking accountability for any offense caused.
