Kandi Burruss is opening up about where things stand with Todd Tucker following their split.
Appearing on Watch What Happens Live on Sunday, the Real Housewives of Atlanta alum shared new insight into the breakup and cleared up lingering speculation. Kandi confirmed there was a defining moment that led her to walk away but stopped short of revealing details. “
There was a specific situation that happened,” Kandi Burruss said. “In July, is when I was like, ‘Oh yeah, nah. I can’t do this anymore.’”
Despite the separation, Kandi said she and Todd are committed to keeping things respectful for their children.
“Even if we argue, we still try to be nice to each other,” she explained. “We’re coparenting. Our ultimate goal is to make sure all of our kids are happy and don’t feel the brunt of our drama.”
Kandi also addressed rumors about their prenup, saying they have been misunderstood online. “They threatened to contest it,” she clarified, adding that it was never an active dispute between them. “That’s where the confusion came from.”
Kandi says she still remains optimistic about the future. “Once we’re done with this,” she said, “I really feel that we’ll be great co-parents.”
