Last night, Black women stepped up to quickly show their support. A group of activated and powerful Black women quickly set up a Zoom call – and they sent word out to join the call to support vice President Kamala.

And Black women came out, and opened up their pocketbooks. Media Take Out spoke with Kamala’s team this morning and confirmed that the call generated more than $1,000,000 from those in attendance.

A who’s who of prominent Black women delivered passionate remarks about the importance of uniting behind Harris, shared personal stories about her, and how to best support her as she seeks the Democratic nomination. Fundraising and voter registration were key topics discussed as well.

Reps. Joyce Beatty, Maxine Waters, and Jasmine Crockett spoke on the call.

The Zoom call was organized by the network Win with Black Women, and moderator Jotaka Eaddy said it reached 40,000 attendees before it ended. The organization will send updates about Harris’ campaign to everyone who registered for the call.
