R&B singer K Michelle is going viral, after a new video was released, showing the beautiful singer looking much lighter than she was previously, Media Take Out has learned.

And folks all over social media are speaking out about the new lighter skinned k Michelle. They are claiming that her new complexion is “proof” that she’s been bleaching her skin for years.

When K Michelle first burst out onto the music scene, and eventually joined the reality show Love & Hip Hop, she was a medium caramel complexion. This is what she looked like just a few years ago:

Now, she looks much different. A close look at her face and her body shows that she’s at least 3 or 4 shades lighter. And fans think that the reality star “whitened” herself through an artificial skin bleaching process.

Skin bleaching is a cosmetic practice that aims to lighten someone’s skin. Some use it to lighten specific areas or dark spots, while others may want to lighten their overall skin tone.

Many products that claim to lighten skin tone are not safe. According to the International Journal of DermatologyTrusted Source, skin bleaching poses a serious public health threat because many contain mercury, which is a toxic heavy metal.

But the latest was that celebrities are lightening their skin is with a glutathione drip, Media Take Out has confirmed. Glutathione is an antioxidant, much like vitamin C, with which it is often mixed in high doses and then administered via an IV infusion – it can lighten skin color.

“Glutathione is an antioxidant, so it is often used a lot alongside chemotherapy agents,” Dr Mahto explains further. “The reason it supposedly works in these IV drips is that it makes its way to your cells and blocks or breaks down the pathway involved in causing pigmentation.” But what is important to note is that while glutathione may be marketed as a ‘skin brightener’ or a ‘glow booster’, it is technically a skin lightener.

Here’s the video:

Despite what people opt social media is saying, K Michelle has spoken out in the past – to adamantly deny that she ever intentionally lightened her skin complexion.

Last year K. Michelle went on to Instagram, to make perfectly clear that she’s never bleached her skin, but has altered her butt thanks to implants and has had a nose job. “So let’s clear it 1. Bleaching- Never done it and don’t even know how. I just got completely healthy a month ago,” she clarified. “My Butt- I admitted it to the world, unlike your favorites. I wanted to help women. Now my a** is ALL real. Now what? My nose- Yes it’s pinched.” The singer concluded by writing, “Sooo… NOW What? I’m me! Are you? I’m sorry I’m going to change the world. My own way, 1 woman at a time!”
