The officer who arrested Justin Timberlake for the viral DWI charge had no idea who he was during the incident.
“The cop didn’t know who he was at first,” a source told Page Six. “Justin said under his breath, ‘This is going to ruin the tour.’ The cop replied, ‘What tour?’ Justin said, ‘The world tour.’”
Sag Harbor Police Department released a statement saying the singer was pulled over because he “was observed operating a 2025 BMW southbound on Madison Street, failing to stop at a duly posted stop sign and failing to maintain his lane of travel.”
According to TMZ, the star was out drinking heavily with his friends at the luxury American Hotel in Sag Harbor and decided to drive himself home when their time ended.
During his arrest, officers say the singer shared that his arrest would mess up his tour. Timberlake recently launched a global tour to support his sixth album Everything I Thought It Was.
The singer is reportedly ready to fight the charge.
