Justin Timberlake is reportedly considering doing a tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey after the controversy over Britney Spears’ memoir.
Several stories from the memoir went viral, including Britney’s claims he pressured her into having an abortion.
“It was a surprise, but for me, it wasn’t a tragedy. I loved Justin so much. I always expected us to have a family together one day. This would just be much earlier than I’d anticipated,” she wrote in The Woman in Me. “But Justin definitely wasn’t happy about the pregnancy. He said we weren’t ready to have a baby in our lives, that we were way too young.”
During Timberlake’s free show at Irving Plaza in New York City, he made a comment that upset fans: “I’d like to take this opportunity to apologize to absolutely … nobody,” Timberlake said before performing his song “Cry Me a River” which is reportedly about Spears.
Justin wants to tell his side of the story.
“Justin is really not happy how things have gone down. He wanted the music to speak for itself but that’s clearly not happening,” a source told The Sun.
The source added, “He wanted [his new] music to speak for itself, but that’s clearly not happening. His comments onstage have only added fuel to the fire,” the insider added. “The idea of a sit-down chat with someone like Oprah Winfrey was floated months ago and is now back on the cards.”
