Blake Lively has lost most of her claims against Justin Baldoni in their ongoing legal battle over the making of It Ends With Us.
A judge ruled Thursday that Lively’s sexual harassment allegations against Baldoni could not move forward, dismissing 10 of the 13 claims she originally filed.
Lively had accused Baldoni of kissing her during a scene that allegedly did not call for it, entering her trailer while she was breastfeeding, and making inappropriate remarks on set.
According to the ruling, the court dismissed the sexual harassment claims because Lively relied on California law even though the alleged incidents took place in New Jersey during filming and the judge did not decide whether the allegations themselves were true.
The court also dismissed Lively’s defamation claim against Baldoni’s attorney, Bryan Freedman.
Three claims remain in the case, including retaliation, aiding and abetting retaliation, and breach of contract. Lively alleges Baldoni and his team damaged her reputation after she raised concerns about the work environment.
“This case has always been and will remain focused on the devastating retaliation,” Lively’s attorney, Sigrid McCawley, said in a statement.
Baldoni’s legal team also responded.
“These were very serious allegations, and we are grateful to the Court for its careful review,” his attorneys said. The case is still scheduled to go to trial on May 18.
