Judge Throws Out Michigan Inmate’s $100 Million Judgment Against Diddy

A Michigan judge has ruled that Sean “Diddy” Combs no longer has to pay a $100 million judgment to Michigan inmate Derrick Lee Cardello-Smith, who filed a lawsuit against him alleging drugging and sexually assaulting him in 1997.

Cardell-Smith was awarded the huge lawsuit as a default Diddy, as the mogul failed to attend a virtual hearing, but in a recent hearing, the judge found that the inmate failed to prove he effectively served Diddy with the lawsuit.

Diddy has denied the allegations.

“This man is a convicted felon and sexual predator, who has been sentenced on 14 counts of sexual assault and kidnapping over the last 26 years,” Marc Agnifilo, attorney for Sean Diddy Combs, told CBS News. “His resume now includes committing a fraud on the court from prison, as Mr. Combs has never heard of him let alone been served with any lawsuit. Mr. Combs looks forward to having this judgment swiftly dismissed.”

The judge also dismissed the temporary restraining order against Diddy preventing him from selling off any assets to cover damages and says that it is very likely that Diddy will win this case due to the statute of limitations grounds.
