Judge Rules Britney Spears Won’t Be Deposed In Conservatorship Case

Media Take Out Staff |

A judge has ruled that Britney Spears will not have to be deposed for a deposition about her 13-year conservatorship.

Her dad attempted to force her to be deposed.

The pop singer’s attorney, Mathew Rosengart told the judge she “feels traumatized by what she went through” and that answering questions under oath from her estranged father Jamie Spears’ lawyer, Alex Weingarten, would “retraumatize” her Variety reports.

“Whether he accepts it or not, his daughter feels traumatized by what she went through at his hands for more than a decade,” Rosengart said . The attorney claims that if Jamie Spears truly loved his daughter, he would have dropped his motion for a deposition.

Spears was placed under a court-ordered conservatorship in 2008 by her father. Jamie then acted as her sole conservator for most of the 13 years. The conservatorship was terminated in November 2021. Britney says her father and other members of the family should be in jail.
