Judge Ural Glanville, the judge overseeing the Young Thug and YSL trial, has been recused, meaning he has been removed from the proceedings.
Young Thug’s attorney Brian Steel filed a second motion last week calling for the recusal of the Chief Superior Court Judge.
Steel filed the motion regarding an alleged meeting between Judge Glanville, prosecutors from the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office, and witness Kenneth “Lil Woody” Copeland.

The judge held him in contempt after he refused to reveal his source, who informed him about the meeting.
Judge Rachel Krause, who made the decision to recuse Glanville, said: “This Court has no doubt that Judge Glanville can and would continue presiding fairly over this matter if the recusal motions were denied, but the ‘necessity of preserving the public’s confidence in the judicial system’ weighs in favor of excusing Judge Glanville from further handling of this case.”
The decision is seen as a major win for Thugger and fans believe he may get the case thrown out entirely.
