Judge Paige Reese Whitaker, who is currently presiding over the YSL RICO case, has apologized after she used the n-word in the courtroom.

The judge was reading a social media post from one of the defendants, and she did not omit the word.

“I was reading out loud and basically saying it as my eyes were going over it for the first time ever,” she said in court. “I read out the word “n-i-g-g-a-s which I hope that was not offensive to anyone — it was certainly not meant to be offensive to anyone.”

Whitaker says she does not use the word and should have looked at the post before reading it aloud.

Whitaker recently freed Young Thug after he accepted a plea deal.

Thugger accepted a “blind plea” and was sentenced to 15 years of probation.

“I take full responsibility for my crimes and for my charges,” Young Thug, told Whitaker. He pleaded guilty to various gang-related charges but entered no contest to other gang and racketeering conspiracy charges.
