Judge Greg Mathis’ estranged wife, Linda Mathis hired a process server to serve her husband with the divorce papers after 39 years of marriage.
The process server, according to In Touch, then drove out to their $5 million home in Beverly Hills at 10:30 a.m. where the television star was served with the papers.
Linda filed for divorce on August 22. Judge Mathis was served the following day.
Last month, Mathis revealed he is trying to save his marriage.
“We’re still in the same house,” he said. “We’re still maintaining a friendship. And I’m trying to get my wife back. I have to show her that though. Hopefully, I can show her why we’re there together. And hopefully, she doesn’t complete the process [of the divorce]. But I’m changing in hopes that she will.”
The estranged couple married in June 1985 and have four children together. She cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split.
