Judge Greg Mathis’ wife may have filed for divorce, but the television star says that they are still living together and he’s fighting to keep his marriage.
Speaking to TMZ, Judge Mathis admitted that he was going through the worst days of his life, but he hasn’t given up hope.
“We’re still in the same house,” he said. “We’re still maintaining a friendship. And I’m trying to get my wife back. I have to show her that though. Hopefully, I can show her why we’re there together. And hopefully, she doesn’t complete the process [of the divorce]. But I’m changing in hopes that she will.”
He did not confirm whether or not infidelity was the cause, but fans are rooting for him and hope he’s able to put the work in to turn things around.
Linda Yvette Mathis filed for divorce on Aug. 22. The estranged couple married in June 1985 and have four children together. She cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split.
