Lizzo received a ‘W’ in court this week after a judge ruled that a wardrobe assistant’s lawsuit against her be thrown out.
Asha Daniels claims she was subjected to a hostile work environment on the singer’s 2023 European tour but a judge claimed that she has no case as Lizzo was not her main employer, instead it was her touring and payroll companies.
So, Lizzo cannot be sued as an individual. To get her coins, Daniels can only pursue legal action against Lizzo’s companies.

“Lizzo’s company was not dismissed,” Daniels’ lawyer Ron Zambrano told Rolling Stone. “The lawsuit still exists as to Lizzo’s companies … Lizzo and her tour manager will still be deposed in this matter.”
The judge also granted a partial motion to dismiss several of the claims because Daniels worked for the company while on tour in Europe. American employment laws do not apply in Europe.
In her lawsuit, Daniels alleged Lizzo created an “unsafe, sexually charged workplace culture”, and that she made “racist and fatphobic” toward her.
Lizzo denied the allegations.
