R&B singer Johnny Gill ahs revealed that R. Kelly was originally supposed to be in the group LSG.
“Originally, it was supposed to be Keith, Gerald and R. Kelly. And some kind of way, Rob pulled out of it from what I was told, and I know Gerald talked to me and he was like, ‘Man, Keith wants to do a group thing.’” Though they initially had R. Kelly in mind to complete the group, Gill also recalls Levert telling him that he “suggested [him] anyway,’ he told Vlad TV.

Kelly is currently serving a long stretch in prison and is reportedly broke.
Kelly was sentenced to 30 years in prison in 2022 on nine counts for the “sexual exploitation of children” and “transportation of women and girls in interstate commerce to engage in illegal sexual activity,” as well as other charges. The disgraced star was convicted of three child pornography charges and three counts of child enticement in Chicago last year.
