John Legend confirmed his friendship with Kanye West ended when Ye openly supported President Donald Trump.
“He was upset that I didn’t support his run for presidency of the United States of America — for understandable reasons,” Legend said on CNN’s “The Axe Files” podcast with David Axelrod.
“I think it became too much for us to sustain our friendship, honestly,” he said. “Like, he’s been pretty upfront with his opinions, his struggles, all the things that he’s dealing with. And I think what you see with him is pretty much what you get.”
Legend and Ye previously beefed in public over Trump. His wife also dragged Trump several times on social media.
This week his wife Chrissy Teigen announced she is pregnant 2 years after her miscarriage.
“We have another one on the way,” she wrote in a post on her Instagram account, later adding, “so far, everything is perfect and beautiful and I’m feeling hopeful and amazing.”
