The family of John Amos has issued a statement saying that they refuse to rule out the possibility that foul play could be behind his shock death.
The news of the actor’s death only became public this week but shockingly, Amos reportedly passed away on August 21 at an Inglewood hospital and his cause of death has been reported as being congestive heart failure.
Tctor’s son, Kelly Christopher Amos, also known as “K.C.,” confirmed the news. Amos was cremated nine days after his passing and K.C.is currently in possession of his father’s remains.
But Shannon Amos, the late star’s daughter, revealed that she only found out the sad news through the media this week.
Shannon alleges a woman pretended to be her at the hospital in her father’s final moments.
“I’m his only daughter,” she wrote. “We believe it was Belinda Foster, the woman also posing as his publicist. He died alone without family.”

In a lengthy statement from the family, the family says it will not rule out “foul play” and that the situation mirrors the passing of Shannon and K.C.’s death.
