Draymond Green was suspended after he stomped out a player on the court. He is now suspended from tonight’s Game 3, but Joe Dumars explained why Green was suspended.

“Here’s what it came down to: excessive and over-the-top actions, conduct detrimental and a repeat offender,” Dumars told ESPN. “That’s what separates this where you end up with a suspension.”

He added, “You know what the situation is, but you have to set that aside and look at the facts in front of you. … Repeat offender weighs as heavy as anything.”

In the fourth quarter of Golden State’s Game 2 loss to Sacramento, Domnatas Sabonis fell and grabbed Green’s leg. Green stomped on Sabonis’ chest area and received a flagrant 2 foul and was ejected from the game.

“My leg got grabbed—the second time in two nights—and the referee is just watching. I got to land my foot somewhere, and I’m not the most flexible person, so it’s not stretching that far. … I can only step so far with someone pulling my leg away,” Green told reporters.
