Joe Budden gave his take on Kanye West’s VULTURES 1 album with Ty Dolla $ign.
According to Budden, Ye’s rapping on the album is bad. Budden says Ye was the only one who did not bring it on the project.
“This is some bad rapping on here. I’m only talking about Kanye West. Freddie Gibbs went crazy. All the rappers I heard went crazy, except for Kanye West. He’s just chanting,” said Budden.
His cohosts agreed with his take.
VULTURES 1 sold more than 140,000 units first week, even though the album was pulled from streaming services. Ye also claims the album is independent. The album raked in more than $1 million for the rapper.
Budden did agree that even though Ye’s rapping was not up to par, his production on the entire album was great.
“He showed his ass on the production. His production is unbelievable on here,” he said. “‘Carnival’ on down is nuts.”
Budden’s cohosts all agreed that Ye’s production was noteworthy.
