Joe Budden crowned Kendrick Lamar as the winner of the rap battle with Drake, but Budden says that Drizzy’s fellow Canadian rapper Tory Lanez believes Drake won the battle.
“He picks Drake in the battle,” Budden says on his podcast. “Now, I’m in a strip club bathroom while he’s telling me all the ways of why Drake won. But I don’t think he heard the Kendrick sh-t. But then the jail operator came on and he got flustered.”
Tory and Drake used to beef back and forth until they squashed their beef in 2017.
Drake has been one of the only rappers to publicly show support for Lanez since the 2020 shooting of Megan Thee Stallion, regularly posting “Free Tory” messages online.
Fans were hoping that Drake would drop another Kendrick diss track this Friday, but as of this morning, nothing new had dropped.
